About Kait Sait

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Kait Sait” in the Marakwet language means “It is time”. This was the slogan for Tim Kipchumba’s campaign for the Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial by-election, which happened between late 2022 and early 2023. It was a rallying call for people in the county, and especially young people, to recognize that the time had come for a candidate who actually cared about using politics to effect positive change

In this video, Tim explains how his experience in the campaign inspired him to spread the message of Kait Sait.

Our Goals

Get People Involved

Understandably, most people are disillusioned by the state of politics in our country. We want more people to have a reason to care because when we care, we can do something about it.

Shape Policy

Policy matters. A lot. We intend to bring together brilliant minds to inform the creation of policies that will move our country forward.

Create Awareness

Now more than ever, Kenyans are acutely aware of how political choices affect our daily lives. We want to provide a neutral platform for this conversation.

Question the Status Quo

What if elected officials could put politics aside and actually work for the people? What if politics was less about who has the most money, and more about who actually has a plan?
